Support
Need help?
Email us at [email protected] and we normally reply within 1–2 business days.
To help us help you faster, please include:
- What you were doing when the problem happened
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings ▸ General ▸ About)
- The app version (Settings ▸ About, inside Mi Patrimonio)
You can also write to us from inside the app: Settings ▸ Support ▸ Contact support. That email includes only the app version, your device, and how many entries you have — never names, balances, or amounts.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need an internet connection?
No, never. Mi Patrimonio works completely offline. The app never connects to the internet on its own.
Where is my data stored?
Only on your iPhone, protected by iOS encryption. We have no servers and no user accounts, so nobody else — including us — can see it.
What happens if I change phones or delete the app?
Because the data lives only on your device, deleting the app deletes it. Before switching phones, go to Settings ▸ Backup & export ▸ Save backup (JSON) and store the file (for example in iCloud Drive). On the new phone use Restore backup.
How do multiple currencies work?
You set the exchange rates manually in Settings ▸ Manage currencies. The app never fetches rates online (it has no network access). Everything converts to your main currency.
When editing a rate you'll see both directions, for example: 1 USD = 7.80 GTQ · 1 GTQ ≈ 0.1282 USD.
If I change my main currency, do I lose balances?
No. Changing the main currency keeps every currency and recalculates the rates relative to the new one.
A currency shows "no exchange rate"
It means you have entries in a currency with no rate set. Until you set one it's shown 1:1 with your main currency so the balance isn't hidden. Go to Settings ▸ Manage currencies, tap the flagged currency and add its rate.
What is the "minimum payment" for?
It's the lowest amount your institution requires each month. The payoff plan uses it to make sure every debt receives its minimum before the surplus goes to the priority debt. If left empty, it's estimated as 2% of the balance.
Avalanche vs snowball?
- Avalanche: targets the highest APR first. You pay less interest overall.
- Snowball: targets the smallest balance first. You see wins sooner, which keeps you motivated.
The app calculates both so you can compare.
Is the payoff plan exact?
It's an approximation using simple monthly interest. It doesn't account for fees, insurance, or other charges your institution may apply.
I saw "We couldn't read your data"
It means the data file was damaged and couldn't be opened. We don't delete it — it's set aside in case it can be recovered, and the app starts empty. If you have a backup, restore it from Settings ▸ Backup & export. Write to us and we'll help.
What's included in Mi Patrimonio Pro?
A one-time purchase (no subscriptions) that unlocks:
- Unlimited ledger entries (the free tier allows 10)
- What-if planner: months and interest saved by paying extra
- Month-by-month balance projection
- Customizable charts (donut, palettes, periods)
Face ID, backups, and export are always free. Your own data is never behind a paywall.
I bought Pro but it isn't unlocked
Go to Settings ▸ Restore purchase. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID, so it also works if you reinstall the app or switch phones using the same Apple ID.
Is this financial advice?
No. Mi Patrimonio is a personal organization tool. It is not financial, legal, or tax advice.
